We Here At The Home Town Shopper Strive To Keep Our Users Safe From Being Spammed and Scammed. All Scam and Spam Classifieds Are Removed As Soon As We See Them Or As We Are Notified Of Them. To Help Prevent From Being A Victim Of a Scam - Follow The Rules Below.
- Do Not Do Transactions That Require You To Use Wire Transfers or Similar Services
- Do Not Respond To Ads Requesting Personal Information (Bank Account #, Social Security #, Address, Phone, Etc)
- We Do NOT Provide Personal Ads On THTS. Do NOT Respond To These Ads. Report Them As Spam So They Can Be Removed.
- Always Reply to Classifieds That Are In Your Local Area. This Will Make It Easier To Inspect Any Item Being Sold In Person Before Buying.
- If It Sounds To Good To Be True, It More Than Likely Is.
- Do Not Do Transactions If The Person Requests You To Wire Back Money If Their Payment Method Exceeds The Amount Of The Item Being Sold. This Is A Clear Sign Of A Fake Money Order, Cashier's Check, and etc.
- Do Not Do Transactions With Anyone Saying They Are Abroad, And Request You To Wire Them The Money.
- THTS Has No Involvement In Transactions Between A Seller And Buyer. Any Claim That We Gurantee An Item Or Payment Is FAKE.
- THTS Will Never Send Information Requests Through Our Classifieds Mail System. Any Contact From THTS Will Be Through The Contact Information You Signed Up With, And Will Never Request Information Other Then Username.
What Should You Do If You Think a posted classified is a scam or spam? On every classified ad's page is a "Report Spam" button. Simply click this button to report that the ad as violating our terms of service and we will delete the message if it is determined to be spam or a scam. You can also write to
